Named for the refined protagonist of Ealing Films' Kind Hearts And Coronets. Louis is an aggrieved and vengeful man who nevertheless has a way with a wry epigram. Oddly for an Edwardian gentleman, his interests largely comprise comely movie stars and vintage novelties. For Louis' classic horror album, try http://popgothic.tumblr.com/. For comics, there is http://thebaxterbuilding.tumblr.com/.

Portrait of Adrian Carton de Wiart by Sir William Orpen.
Sir Adrian Paul Ghislain Carton de Wiart was an English officer of Belgian and Irish descent. He fought in the Boer War, World War I and World War II; was shot in the face, head, stomach, ankle, leg, hip and ear; survived a plane crash, tunnelled out of a POW camp, and bit off his own fingers when a doctor wouldn’t amputate them. He later said “frankly I had enjoyed the war.”
He was ‘a delightful character and must hold the world record for bad language.’
